GLOSSARY
Hosted Payments
Checkout pages hosted by a payment provider to collect payment details and handle compliance.
Hosted payments let a provider present and secure the checkout page instead of the merchant building it. The provider collects card or wallet details, handles PCI scope, and returns a result to the merchant.
Benefits: faster integration, lower PCI DSS burden, and built-in support for wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and card-not-present flows. Good UX still depends on localized payment methods and clear error handling.
