GLOSSARY
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
California law granting consumers rights over their personal information and imposing duties on businesses.
CCPA (and CPRA amendments) provides California residents rights to know, delete, and opt out of sale/sharing of personal information. It sets notice, contracts, and security requirements for covered businesses.
Similar to GDPR principles, but with its own thresholds and definitions. Businesses need clear privacy notices, DSAR handling, and vendor agreements reflecting CCPA obligations.
