GLOSSARY
Hold on Funds
Temporary reservation of money before capture or payout, often for risk or authorization checks.
A hold reserves funds after authorization but before capture or payout. Holds appear in hotels, fuel, or marketplaces while goods ship or risk reviews complete.
Holds are released or captured later; excess hold time can cause customer friction. Platforms ledger holds separately from captured funds and ensure clear status in balance and disbursement reports.
